Code of conduct

For attendees
By attending an AMH meetup, you agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

Activate Mental Health aims to improve your well-being through a positive, vibrant and social community. We are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive experience for participants at all our events, whether they are held in person or virtually.

We want everyone to feel welcomed and safe at our events. We ask all participants to be kind, considerate and make a positive contribution. We value everyone in our inclusive community and hope you will join us in supporting this Code of Conduct.

Team
Team Hugging
The AMH Community supports each other in building positive mental health and well being.
We do this by displaying the following behaviours.

Respect
Treat all participants with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of experiences, background and identities.

Connection
Be kind, courteous, and constructive. Be open to learning and listening to diverse opinions, thoughts and beliefs. Encourage open expression within a climate of sensitivity and mutual respect.

Privacy
Respect and maintain the privacy of others. Ensure that confidential material is not shared without express permission under any circumstances. Ask permission before taking photos or video.

Communication
We understand there may be times when you are unable to attend an event you have registered for. If this happens, please let the organiser know through the Meetup App as soon as possible. If you don’t turn up, the group may wait for you before starting the activity and be concerned for your welfare.
Unacceptable behaviour

Speak up

All participants are encouraged to respectfully discourage unacceptable behaviour.

If you witness or experience unacceptable behaviour you may also report it to the AMH event organiser or contact the team here. All reported concerns will be treated seriously and investigated.

Consequences

For the safety of all our members, disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour isn’t tolerated.

Participants asked to stop any unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Serious violations may result in the participant being asked to leave and potentially be expelled from attending or participating in future AMH events.
