About our organisation

Activate Mental Health is a dynamic mental health initiative that focuses on providing fun and engaging meetup opportunities to promote positive mental health and well-being for its members.

The group was founded in June 2016 as the Perth Active Depression Support Group. It was approved as a registered charity in November 2024.

The group's activities are featured and advertised on the social media site Meetup, showcasing a mix of recurring events and casual meetups. These gatherings are based on commitments made by dedicated individuals who offer activities that align with the group's purpose.

The group is a proud partner of the Act-Belong-Commit campaign & is a valued member of Volunteering WA and Alike WA.

Activate Mental Health is blessed to have been developed on Whadjuk Noongar Country. We acknowledge that Noongar people remain the custodians of their Country, and that they continue to practice their values, cultures, languages, beliefs and knowledge. We pay our respects to the Elders and knowledge holders of the Country on which we live and improve our wellbeing through fun and human connection
