Christmas with Activate Mental Health (Including a Christmas Day Picnic)

As we joyfully embrace the festive season, it’s important to remember that Christmas can be a difficult time for some. Activate Mental Health has organised four Christmas-themed events, including a special Christmas Day picnic, generously supported by the Rotary Club of Northbridge.


The best part? All of these events are free!

December 3rd - Christmas Lights Trail Walk

Activate Mental Health is launching its Christmas celebrations with a magical evening stroll through Perth’s dazzling Christmas Lights Trail.

📍 Location: Large White Spanda sculpture, Elizabeth Quay, Perth


This walk is the first event in our series of Christmas-themed gatherings aimed at uniting our community through joy, connection, and holiday cheer. Whether you’re here to admire the lights, make new friends, or just revel in the season, this occasion kicks off a month of celebration with Activate Mental Health.

19th December - Bah-Humbug Grumpy Christmas Party (Hosted by Integrity Initiative)

After the sparkle of our Christmas Lights Trail Walk, we will participating in Integrity Initiative’s Grumpy Christmas Party.

This enjoyable gathering focuses on connection without any pressure; it's a welcoming environment where you can laugh, express frustrations, and share your seasonal experiences in your own unique way. Whether you cherish Christmas or feel reluctant about it, you’ll discover a sense of community, warmth, and a touch of playful fun at Bah-Humbug. Our group founder, Rahul Seth, will be a special panelist for this event.


20th December - Christmas Board Games Night

After the sparkle of the Lights Trail Walk and the cheeky fun of Bah-Humbug, Activate Mental Health invites you to our third Christmas celebration: a cozy evening of board games with a festive twist.

Expect a night filled with laughter, strategy, and an abundance of festive cheer as we come together for both classic and quirky games. Whether you’re driven by competition or simply in it for enjoyment, this evening is centred around connection, play, and a vibrant community spirit.


25th December - Christmas Day Picnic in Kings Park

After a month filled with festive activities like the Lights Trail Walk, Bah-Humbug Party, and Christmas Board Games Night, Activate Mental Health is thrilled to invite you to our fourth and final Christmas celebration: a laid-back picnic amidst the stunning scenery of Kings Park on Chirstmas day.

📍 Location: Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, Perth


Three of our amazing volunteers have graciously offered to host this special event, on a day that may be challenging for some. We’re creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone to come together and celebrate. This picnic is all about making connections, building community, and having fun. So grab your favorite snacks, picnic blankets, and bring along your cheerful spirit as we gather to enjoy stories, laughter, and a warm sense of belonging. We can't wait to see you there!
