At Activate Mental Health (“AMH”), we genuinely believe that connection isn’t just a bonus; it’s essential for everyone. What began as a humble grassroots effort has blossomed into one of Perth’s most lively, volunteer-driven mental health communities. Today, thousands of individuals have discovered friendship, confidence, and a welcoming sense of belonging through our events, groups, and creative spaces for connection.

As one member recently shared,

“AMH has helped fight the stigma associated with people’s mental health struggles. As a member, I have connected with others and their lived experiences. I think that is truly special.”

And that’s precisely why we’re ready for our next chapter.

A Community Growing in Strength and Ready for Sustainable Impact

Over the past few years, AMH has achieved some incredible milestones:

• A thriving calendar of social connection events across Perth, which sees a team of over 40 volunteers deliver 400+ opportunities for social connection annually.

• A strong volunteer base leading with heart, creativity, and lived experience.

• Recognition from community partners, local government, and peak bodies.

• Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, opening new doors for philanthropy

• Sustainable financial footing supported by sponsorships, grants, Rotary contributions, and community goodwill

We’ve proven that connection, fun, and inclusion can transform lives. Now, we’re ready to scale that impact, thoughtfully, sustainably, and with exemplary leadership guiding the way.

As one of our volunteers beautifully shared,

“You can feel the difference here. It’s community, not charity, and that’s why people keep coming back.”

Introducing: Director of Fundraising

We’re seeking a strategic, values-aligned leader to help shape AMH’s future. This isn’t a role about keeping the lights on. We’re already financially stable at our current scale. Instead, it’s about unlocking what’s possible next.

As our Director of Fundraising, you’ll:

• Develop a fundraising strategy that supports long‑term growth

• Cultivate strong relationships with donors, partners, and sponsors

• Work closely with our Board and Leadership Circle to guide AMH’s next evolution

This role is perfect for someone who loves strategy as much as connection. Someone who can see the big picture, build trust with ease, and bring ideas to life with creativity and integrity.

Why You’ll Love Being Part of AMH

At Activate Mental Health, we don’t just talk about wellbeing, we live it. Our Leadership Circle is collaborative, supportive, and deeply committed to balancing purpose with people’s real lives.

You’ll be joining a team where:

Connection is at the heart of everything

Fun is part of the culture, not an afterthought

Inclusion guides every decision

• Your expertise is valued, and your voice matters

Most importantly, you’ll be helping shape a future where no one in Perth feels alone.
