The Rotary Club of Northbridge has generously pledged $3,000 to support Activate Mental Health’s mission. This funding will help us host more inclusive, community-led events across Northbridge and Perth, using the power of social connection and recreational activities to foster a mentally healthier, more connected community.
“The Rotary Club of Northbridge is delighted to support Activate Mental Health, who deliver programs in the community that offer a variety of ways for people to connect, delivered by volunteers who step up & lead”, says Michael Rosario, The Rotary Club of Northbridge President.
Volunteers have so far expressed interest in using funding for the following activities:
- Room hire at the State Library of WA or the City of Perth Library.
- 8-ball pool and ping pong hire at Pot Black Northbridge
- Karaoke
- A visit to the WA Museum or a paid visit to the Art Gallery of WA
- Darts at Flight Club
- Bowling at Strike
- Escape room hire.
“This funding allows Activate Mental Health to offer a wider range of activities that our members might not otherwise be able to afford or access in a safe, fun, and inclusive space,” says Rahul Seth, the founder of Activate Mental Health.

Hyde Park Walking Group
In addition to our funded events, Activate Mental Health is launching a weekly walking group at Hyde Park, promoted in partnership with the Rotary Club. Nestled in one of Perth’s most scenic green spaces, Hyde Park offers a tranquil, centrally located setting that’s easily accessible for community members from both north and south of the river.
After a cold winter test run, Activate Mental Health revived the walk-and-talk format on 18th October, this time with sunshine, smiles, and six eager souls ready to help carry the tradition into the vibrant 2025/26 Spring and Summer seasons.
Our new volunteers had this to say about their first-time experience of volunteering for our cause:
"It's not every day you can get out in the open air and meet such a unique and diverse group of people who also just want to enjoy the simple things of life and have some real conversations, and a laugh along the way. Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is hard, but the benefits you gain from it are what make the walking group so enjoyable. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other! Such a great and simple activity to start the weekend!"
"As a professional in the mental health industry, I find Activate Mental Health to be a great initiative! It brings people together, builds community and social connection that is very much needed in today's society"
Our members enjoyed the experience too:
“What a fantastic event. Met some friendly new people from various industries and backgrounds. Had a great walk & wonderful coffee with lots of interesting conversations. Thanks everyone”
“It has been a positive start to the weekend-good to get up and get moving and have some great convos with old and new faces!”
“The walk & talk (and coffee, of course) made a huge impact on my wellbeing this morning. It’s nice to meet new people, connect, and hear interesting stories.”
“Activate Mental Health’s walk around Hyde Park is a fun and simple step forward in support of mental wellbeing”
