At Activate Mental Health, we’ve always believed in something simple but powerful: it’s more fun together. And for ten years, that belief has shaped a grassroots movement that has quietly transformed thousands of lives.


Activate Mental Health has made significant contributions to the Perth community by offering free or low‑cost social events for members to reduce social isolation and build meaningful connections.



A Decade of Community Impact

What started in 2016 as a small idea has grown into one of Perth’s most active, inclusive, and welcoming social communities.

150+ volunteers

3,200+ events hosted

18,400+ RSVPs

4.7/5 average event rating

• All achieved on just $67,000 total spend, which equated to $20 per event.


These numbers tell a story of extraordinary efficiency and extraordinary heart. Volunteers, our Activators, have built walking groups, board game nights, book clubs, bouldering sessions, TED Talk discussions, and countless other experiences that help people feel less alone.


But the need is growing. And so must we.



Why We’re Asking for Support

Loneliness is rising. Demand for our events is rising. And our community, 8,300+ people strong, relies on us to keep showing up.


To meet this need sustainably, we are seeking $80,000 in annual sponsorship to employ two part‑time roles dedicated to:


• Recruiting and supporting our volunteers

• Expanding events into outer Perth regions

• Strengthening governance and administration

• Ensuring long‑term organisational stability


This is the next chapter of our evolution: moving from a passionate volunteer collective to a resilient, professionally supported charity.
