Rotary Club of Perth Donates $1,000 to Support Activate Mental Health

On 1 May 2026, Our Founder Rahul Seth had the privilege of speaking at the Rotary Club of Perth about the journey of Activate Mental Health, just weeks before we celebrated our 10‑year

anniversary. It was a chance to reflect on how far our grassroots community has come: from a small peer‑led meetup in 2016 to becoming Perth’s largest mental well‑being community, powered by volunteers and a shared belief in connection.

Rahul shared the milestones our community has achieved over the past decade, the thousands of people who have found belonging through our events, and the incredible volunteers who make it all possible. The room was warm, curious, and deeply engaged, a reminder of how aligned Rotary’s values are with ours.

A Donation That Keeps Giving

Following the presentation, the Rotary Club of Perth made a thoughtful and generous decision: they will donate $1,000 to Activate Mental Health on behalf of all future guest speakers who visit the club over the next three months.

Each speaker will receive a personalised letter from Activate Mental Health, a small gesture of thanks that also shares more about our mission, our impact, and how community support helps us keep events free and accessible.

This approach is beautifully in the Rotary spirit: turning every guest speaker’s contribution into a ripple of positive impact for the wider community.

Strong Partnerships Across the Rotary Network

We’re fortunate to have ongoing support from several Rotary clubs across Perth:

The Rotary Club of Northbridge has partnered with us to expand our events in Northbridge and Perth, helping us reach more people who benefit from safe, social spaces.

The Rotary Club of Subiaco contributed funding to help us create a promotional video that will share our story and amplify our impact.

And now, the Rotary Club of Perth has added its support through this new donation initiative.

These partnerships show what’s possible when community organisations work together: more connection, more inclusion, and more people supported through life’s ups and downs.

About the Rotary Club of Perth

The Rotary Club of Perth is the first and oldest Rotary club based in Western Australia. Known for its professionalism, warmth, and commitment to community impact, the club brings together leaders from across Perth to support local and global initiatives. Their work spans mental health, youth programs, humanitarian projects, and long‑standing campaigns such as Lift the Lid, which raises awareness and funds for mental health research.

Their support of Activate Mental Health reflects their ongoing dedication to strengthening community wellbeing, and we’re deeply grateful to be part of that mission.
